How did your Operation New Roof go? We're having problems with our leaky roof, and we decided to have it fixed by a professional right away to keep it from getting even more damaged, especially since snow is quite a problem if you have a damaged roof.
Well the job was finished late December but not without issue. The guttering already leaks, and the roof itself leaked just before completion. I am starting to have less and less faith in the workmanship of the companies appointed by L&Q to carryout their improvements. Currently got issues with a bathroom installed by Apollo last year, as per blog.
Hope your leak didn't cause you too many issues and that it has been rectified. Our new roof looks pretty, if not a bit too modern for the period of the house (all traditional features ripped off).
A small leak can cause your sheathing and rafters to rot. In just a short time, small leaks can lead to complications, such as mold formation, destroyed insulation, and damaged ceilings. If you spot a roof leak, even if it’s just small, it is best to fix it as early as possible. Prevention is truly better than cure.
